Blog #8 "Evaluating the film (The curious case of Benjamin button)"

     
          The curious case of Benjamin button is a true epic that left me utterly speechless. It receives many awards that almost every detail was top-notch. The film demands you to feel not only for the death we witnessed, but the incredible life we discover. The momentous tale truly deserves nothing less than the title of Vogue. This emotional film is about a man who ages backward as he grows. His tale was unfolded by his daughter when reading a diary of his mother at the hospital. Every shot of the film is jaw-dropping, unique, nicely filmed, acted and directed. It really deserves the bunch of awards it receives because it made the viewers realize of the memorable moments of life that people never seem to grasp long enough before letting go.

Blog #10 "My Personality"

           

         Everyone has their own unique traits that make them who they are. We are all different in many ways and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm the kind of person who likes to put a smile on the face of many people. But I know there's something on me that I must change. I have my positive traits like being generous, kind and helpful and I also have negative traits like having a procrastination. Honestly, Having a procrastination makes me more stress in life and can't finish faster because of piled of work left behind and if I'm going to change my traits, I probably start to change being procrastinated person especially now that I need it in my studies. I need the change for the result of having a possibility of being successful in the future. My personality makes me as a person and I have the responsibility to change the way I manage or improve it for the goodness of the people around me.

   

Blog #9 "Cat Vs. Dogs"

             

             All over the world people adopt or purchase animals to serve as their pets. Cats and Dogs are same animals with different species, they are both pets and loved by many people. Both of them have a fur and requires a regular washing. They can also be trained by their owners and lastly, they both provide enjoyment, love, and affection to humans, that's why people treat cats and dogs not just a pet but as a part of a family. Dogs are extremely playful and active day and night they are incapable of grooming themselves, so the owners must have time to groom them to avoid fleas. Dogs also protect their owners from the people they think strange by using their “barks” to communicate and express their feelings. Lastly, dogs enjoy being part of their owner's life because they always wanted to play. Compared to cats, Cats are the independent one they enjoy time being alone and can still be happy if their owners were busy. They are more active at night and sleep all day long. They can also groom themselves and can “meow” to express their feelings but not as noisy as dogs. Both cats and dogs bring happiness to their owners and they both serve as a stress reliever of their owner.

The word “Outstanding” fits the characteristics of Ara Galang. Victorina Salas Galang or more popularly known as Ara Galang is a multi-awarded Filipina volleyball player. Ara Galang as an athlete and a student is compassionate, hardworking, intelligent and responsible which boost the power and gives strength to her teammates on the court and make her as a complete outstanding student. She won UAAP rookie of the year during season 74 and received UAAP most valuable player in the season 75. She is also the former team captain of Dela Salle lady spikers from the year 2014 to 2015. Despite of all the training and pressure that she encounter in volleyball she also able to manage her studies in an excellent way. In fact, she received an award for being class valedictorian from elementary and also from high school, recently she's a dean's lister in Dela Salle University of the course Bachelor of science in entrepreneurship. Ara Galang is definitely outstanding in both sports and academic that's why most of the people idolize her for being an inspiration.

Blog # 5 "How An Event Change How I Think About Life"

               

          There are many situations in life that made an individual feel how important is to live. Such events usually leave a permanent mark in the lives of individuals and offer lessons that cannot be erased by any other experience in life. This is an incident that happened to my grandmother recently. October 1,2016 around one o'clock in the afternoon, An unexpected situation happened when my I saw my grandmother seeking for help because she can't breathe. I'm very nervous that time, so I seek for the help of someone, luckily my mother and my aunt immediately arrive, they told me to get a taxi for my grandmother to bring into the hospital. When we were on the taxi my grandmother still can't breathe normally that's why were in panic. When we arrive at the hospital the nurses quickly put my grandmother into the stretcher and go to the emergency room. My grandmother was treated with oxygen and after a few minutes, she normally can breathe. The doctor said that my grandmother has hypertension and We are lucky because she survived that situation despite of her age, because if not the possible result is a vein in her body will break and leads to comatose. We confined my grandmother into the hospital for three days intended for observation. After three days in the hospital she is finally recovered and day by day she's getting stronger. In that Incident I realize how an event changes my perception in life, life is really unpredictable and were lucky that everyday we woke up alive.

Blog # 4 Philippines Is Beautiful

      

             Vibrant mountains, incredible food, and festival with extraordinary faithful people with a charming smile and positive spirit, is what forms the Philippines. A land made perfect because of its imperfection. The Philippines is a southeast Asian country located on the pacific ring of fire and close to the equator, it is categorized broadly under three geographical division namely Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao with eighteen administrative regions. Each island groups hold natural resources and tropical climate perfect for biodiversity.Truly, Philippines breathtaking beauty illustrates the value of life.
           The Philippines is blessed for having wonderful spots and landmarks that attract foreign people to visit. On November 2011, Puerto Princesa Underground River was provisionally chosen as one of the New 7 wonders of nature. Puerto Princesa Underground River has recently been named the best island in the world. The natural beauty of Palawan is an inviting sight which attracts thousands of visiting tourists annually. Chocolate Hills located in the middle of the island of Bohol are considered one of the natural wonders of the world. Over 1,247 hills are spread out as far as the eye can see. The captivating beauty of Chocolate hills is a very strange geological formation that impressed everyone and baffled lots of geologists.

           The smile of the Filipino and being faithful are the traits that most of the Filipino have. Filipino never forget to wear the brightest smile on their faces everyday in almost everything that they do. A smile shows that no storm can bring Filipino down and a smile that gives positive vibes to everyone, are the traits that make Filipino uniquely different to others. The Filipino are one of the most faithful people in the world. Whatever the religion is, Filipino remain faithful and don’t lose hope for a better tomorrow. The faithfulness and hopefulness keep Filipino kind, positive, peaceful and determined to achieve goals no matter how impossible it may seem. One example that shows Filipino faithfulness is the feast of black Nazarene were millions of Filipino parade through the streets with the life-sized, black wooden statue of Jesus.
          Filipino culture is a combination of eastern and western culture, consists of different kinds of clothing, traditions, belief, food and festival. Lechon baboy is the most popular food in the Philippines that consist of crispy skin, juicy meat, and sauce that are very delicious and will make everyone crave for more. Lechon baboy is considered to be the star of the table in every fiesta. The Fiesta is an important part of Filipino culture. The Ati-Atihan Festival is one of the most popular fiesta in the Philippines, It is celebrated in honor of Santo Niño. The ati-atihan festival consists of tribal dance, music, accompanied by indigenous costumes, weapons, and parade along the street to entertain everyone.         The stunning beauty of the nature that attracts foreign tourists to visit, the smile in every Filipino that brings positive vibes to everyone, the fantastic fiesta that is made to entertain everyone, the delicious and tasty Lechon that makes everyone crave for more ,are the unbelievable beauty of the Philippines. Truly, Philippines breathtaking beauty illustrates the value of life. 

Blog #3 My Mother (Description)

     

I can't imagine how my life would be, without my mom. I had learned to love her, since the day we first met. She has small dark colored eyes, dark colored hair, about 5'0 in height, short hair, well-built body and tan in skin tone. There are many reasons why my mother impressed me a lot. One reason is, I enjoy almost every food that my mother cooked for us, specifically the sisig, adobo, sinigang na hipon and pork steak because I really like the taste, aroma, and style of how she cooked the food she serves. Next one is, The tone of her voice whenever she's giving advice to me is very comfortable and makes me feel better. The last one is the care and touch I feel whenever she hugs me when I feel bad is very heart warming. In summary, I am proud of the inside and outside characteristics of my mother, She is my greatest source of strength and losing her is my biggest fear. My whole world does not only revolved around her, but she is the most influential person who inspires me the most, more than anything else. The unconditional love,care, sincerity, support and patience is her most important characteristics that I love. My mother is not just an ordinary woman, She is extraordinary, above all her flaws and imperfections, For me, She is still my perfect best friend and my superhero.
